$420 Versus $99 - The Value of Spending Your Advertising Dollars

A few weeks ago I received a great phone call from one of the representatives here at Active Rain.  He was friendly, very informative and just so lovable that I had to take him up on the join now $5.00 offer so I could see exactly what the benefits of Active Rain are.  So as I was talking to this guy, I ran to my wallet and ripped out my credit card and joined Active Rain right there on the spot.

And then my Active Rain journey began, one little blog post at a time.  And ya know what, TODAY, it occurred to me.  If I continue to be a member of Active Rain, and I pay the normal cost of $35 a month for the service, then over a 12 month period I am actually spending $420 - Wow.

Which got me thinking about a few things.  First, one of the other companies I blog for only pay 149.00 a year for their blog platform which is Typepad.  And with Typepad you get unlimited blogs when you join at that price. And Typepad's platform is just about the best one out there in my opinion.

Or if you want a FREE blogging platform you can use Blogger or Wordpress.  Both have their pros and cons, and depending on what you're going to use it for, that could be beneficial.

And then of course you can also Twitter and do Facebook and reach others that way, and those platforms are also FREE to you.

So what is it that Active Rain does that encourages so many people to put out money every month is costs way more than a normal blogging platform? Easy - it networks you instantly with others in the Real Estate world.  That is not too bad.

But here's the thing, I keep telling you all about Fabusend Smart Letterhead and how you can get a One Year Subscription to use it yearly for only $99 - with my super duper instant 50% off code SH7729 :)  And the thing is that all you have to do is use it and when TWO people decide to buy it through you, you've just made back your money like that.  It really is that easy, and I know because I signed up a good friend of mine literally within a week.

So why am I telling you all this, the main reason is because I figured if you are already investing around $400.00 to promote yourself with no guarantee of making any money through Active Rain (even though I'm sure you will) why not throw another $99 into your advertising budget and make that back and more?  It seems logical to me.

And it's logical on so many levels because Fabusend is a product that any industry can use and like I've told you before, it really is a great way to brand yourself.  And so think about this... if you have let's say 1000 customers that you email out all of the time, why not use Fabusend Smart Letterhead all of the time.  Your friends, and business associates are going to be impressed and they will want to buy it themselves.  And just think if you even had half of those 1000 people buy Fabusend through you, you would make $25,000 - and yes you read that correctly.  If all of your 1000 customers decided to use Fabusend you could make $50,000 just like that.

So when it comes to your advertising dollars, to me it makes total sense to invest in Fabusend Smart Letterhead and let them pay you.  I did, and I can tell you that I can't wait to get my next check.

Very good point.  I do like the Letterhead website.  If I didn't have so many regulations with my work emails, I would probably look more into branding my emails, but it's a great and smart idea.

Nicely done, and I was not familiar with this service.  Although one side of me says this is spam, another more creative side says I like it!

Hmm, interesting mix of responses.  To those of you who think I'm "spamming", how is that possible when I'm writing about the product I'm on here to promote - I think spamming would be if I was emailing all of you with this same information without you coming to my blog.

Since 80% of the users of Fabusend are realtors, and I actually discussed why I was checking out Active Rain with the rep that called me from there, I also don't consider sharing this product spam.

But hey, if you do, let me just say that this spam's benefits with a 50.00 referral bonus for each person who uses it, will buy a lot of the real SPAM :)

Nice to be loved!

Oh, and also logic would say that if I'm spamming, then I'm also spamming for Active Rain.  I'm sure they don't mind. :)

Sorry if I offended Stacy.  Must have thought I was on Zillow or something. The post felt like a long commercial to me but that's okay, you have a right to speak your mind on your own blog.

Hi Maria,

No worries, I'm just curious as to why you considered it spam.  My point is that as I was thinking about how people use advertising dollars and use this service to get business and exposure, that it's just as frugal to use Fabusend to do the same thing, and get paid to do it.  If you've read the very beginning of my blog, then you would know that I'm on Active Rain to let people in this field know about Fabusend, however, I have made a point to not hammer this great product every day..because that would really get old. :)  Which is why I like to share comics and other techy stuff.  But I do appreciate your apology, thanks. :)

Posted by Bryant Tutas-Tutas Towne Realty, Inc almost 3 years ago

Good question, BB. How many email addresses does this product cover?

Posted by Maria Morton, Kansas City Real Estate (Prudential Kansas City Realty) almost 3 years ago

Maria, you can use however many email addresses you have with your Fabusend account.  There are different costs for corporations versus single use.  If you are seriously interested check out the following link.
